Walmart has some cellular on clearance. Need some input. Have a choice between Reveal Tacticam X2.0, Spypoint Flex-M and Moultrie Edge 2. Any suggestions or 1st hand experience would be much appreciated.

I've had good luck with stealth cams from Walmart. Maybe not the best. But it ables me to see and know what shows up . Cost $100 for camera and $50 or so for the rechargeable battery. Been running them in the woods full time and no issues.

The Tacticam was the one purchased at the beginning of the month. Now today I see the other 2 brands in 2 pack for $10 & $20 respectively. Just wondering if should return the one in exchange for a 2 camera option.

No....keep the Tactacam.

The Moultries are good too.

I have no experience with Spypoint , but have read many bad reviews.

Moultries, are what I use exclusively. Not a fan of the SPYPOINT cameras I have.

I guess now the decision is if it is worth returning the tactacam and spending another $20 to get an extra camera. Thank for your inputs on the question.

…. Hey ya’lll quit putting cameras all over the woods… supposed to find solitude and an escape from people out there

… ever since those stupid game cams game along … a man can’t even feel like he’s not being watched in nature

Been running the same 3 Spypoint camaras for going on 5 years now. No troubles at all. Just pictures, no videos. Using there lithium battery's and don't have to change them out for at least 6, 7 months. To recharge them takes close to 24 hours.

I have about 30 spypoints, all different models. Occasionally you get a lemon that just stops working but they are great about replacing within the 2 year warranty. I have several that have been running nonstop since 2019 and still work with just replacing batteries every 8 months or so. They are cheaper than the other brands, the photos aren’t as good as the more expensive cell cams but you can tell what you’re looking at 99% of the time.

I occasionally find them for sale randomly online for $50 a piece for new ones. I figure if it gets stolen or crunched by a bear then I’m only out $50 bucks and not $100+ for the more expensive. The spypoints also have 100 free picture transfers a month. I don’t think any of the other brands have a free picture transfer before you have to add money onto a data plan.

They are great for scouting and you’ll learn a lot putting them on video function and placing over a set too. I also use mine for keeping tabs on the local wolves and have busted a half dozen trespassers.

I live in town and want to see what cats have to be eliminated first. Also, game cameras work well for just general observation of wildlife with no intent to harm. Guess they also work well for catching trespassers. Until they steal the cameras.

Sounds like you have an overpopulation of people.

Most cell cams made today only work if you have a subscription. They dont double as a stand alone camera that you can use without a cellular plan. However, some do, so if thats important do your homework.

I’ve had a Reveal X 2.0 out in the woods for 3 years straight no issues I prefer it over the other 2 reveal x pros that I own. I run the rechargeable battery packs from Amazon in them $15-20 a battery pack vs 40-$50 for the reveal battery packs.
I run it as a cell came August through Dec then just use it as a regular SD cam the rest of the year.

I will own another X 2.0 if they are discounted at my local walmart
