I prepared Knothead !
Yesterday for the fourth's enjoyment, that is. And continued today .
I was too busy to post this, wrapped up with cooking and enjoying flyovers of jets and choppers in DC , the line of tall ships decked out in their splendor, all day . Thanks to my President , it was magnificent , all day. Veterans over 100 years old were there, and original flags displayed from various events in time. To a man, the vets couldn't say enough good things about the President and the people who love doing good things for them. Wishing the vets all good things for them that they earned. And the veterans appreciating the people's kindness in return.
I really liked the military bands . They are always perfect . The opera singing and the other great singers . And of course, the jets and choppers, even some WW2 Mustangs . My father would have loved it . Lines of military sitting in the first seat sections. Impeccably dressed.
All the while, preparing the meals.
My dinnah is no other than Knothead, my rabbit who bullied the others. I wanted to try some new, exotic spices , from the Mediterranean and Türkiye, centuries old spices that I've never tried. They worked great, seasoning to perfection. Same for my fresh green bean sauce. The meat seared a rich flavorful brown and retained its moist , tender texture.
I guess all Knothead's running, fighting and being semi wild didn't make the meat one bit tough .
It was a fun day seeing all the good things my President arranged and his good speech later. Proud of my country . My White House. My President , and foremost, all the great men who served in support of making America great . Especially my father , decorated fighter pilot and gunner of WW2. A good positive , happy day .
Hope the Tman Tribe had and still is having an appreciative Independence Day weekend . May that always be so.
