I'm currently running a 2013 Silverado with the 5.3. 155,000 miles with no issues. Unfortunately the truck is rusting away and won't pass inspection
I'm looking at a 2021 with the 2.7 and an 8 speed transmission. Is sounds like I should be more wary of the Chevrolet transmission.

Are you stuck on a Chevy? The post 2018 ford 2.7 6 cyl is a lot better engine than the chevy 2.7 4 cyl

Gotta live up to the nickname...
