I'm always ready for a down turn. But I sure don't think the 25pt rate hike that's coming is gonna tank the market more than temporarily. Any of these three stocks would be better than the ones you've been posting about LOL. OXY's got a pretty darn high PE though....... I feel there are better choices in that sector but my money ain't that "smart money" you're referring to. LOL.

I could post percentages but its moot. Previous money was more invested like you would approve of. This is all new data. Im admittedly gambling around but im trying to do it strategically and post my line of thinking as i go. Ive lost a ton of money investing like this this year but im wrapping my mind around it. Just trying to help but theres a down turn coming i think and gold and silver just slipped recently and seems to beaded the other way..: especially 20 years from now or sometime between then. I got 20 years to wait. Not planning to wait. Its not for everyone. OhioBoy, curious if you’d give you last year, 3 year and 5 year returns. Obviously I can only take you at your word, but I’m curious what you’ll respond with. PM me if you’d prefer.

Yote,
Im not telling anyone to buy ABTC. Im talking about it bc i already bout it. Ive lost thousands of dollars on it.
How many users of trapperman do you think see many crypto conversations?
I think there is a downturn coming and im trying to smart about it and diversify and post my sources or info or whatever as i go. Maybe im wrong but im guessing someone on here learned something.
Im not sure youll understand bc i think you said your not in crypto or that it wasnt 10% or something. I think crypto has a good chance to pop. Im admittedly gambling on crypto. Im a higher percentage but i believe itd be irresponsible not to have some crypto sitting somewhere losing money… bc i dont think its always going to lose money and at 5% of my portfolio who cares.
The whole point of this thread is that maybe some mule skinner in Montana read this and was like hmmm i hadnt thought of that. If just that one person starts thinking then you can LOL me all u want.
And im guessing theres some old men on here learning how much more powerful google is than they realized. At least i hope so. None of the old men at farmer breakfast understand any of this topic. Maybe were helping someone. OK well this post helps. My concern was that you are going to lose money but here you seem to fully realize there's a good chance of it. So carry on. My other concern was someone would think you ARE recommending a company like ABTC or MSTR and end up getting burned, but I guess if they're not smart enough to do their own research than they'd deserve it anyways, lol.

Just for the heck of it, I asked AI the same question you did Troy and it gave me a totally different answer. So, I'd be cautious putting too much stock in it... either. OK the first one was CoPilot. This is what ChatGPT says:

Thanks guys good talk.
How does anyone reading this that doesn’t have some sort of crypto justify in their mind why they are creating all this crypto infrastructure and passing laws and such. Bc its never going to take off? That's not really a compelling argument. History is full of examples where massive infrastructure was built because everyone believed demand was inevitable, yet investors still lost fortunes. The late-1990s fiber optic boom is probably the best example. Hundreds of billions were spent laying fiber across the globe. Most of the companies that built it went bankrupt because they massively overestimated near-term demand. Twenty years later, that fiber became the foundation of the modern Internet—but that didn't save the original shareholders. The infrastructure succeeded. The investment largely didn't. Crypto could absolutely be part of the future and still be a terrible investment at today's prices. It could be overpriced, take much longer than investors expect to achieve widespread adoption, or both.

Ai is funny how you ask it stuff. Read and rephrase and ask again. Question it. Talk to it. what too three stocks have the most institutional money flowing into them currently See if that gives you this. Typo and all i guess. Typed exactly as you did it gave the same reply it gave me the first time.

Scott McNealy, CEO of Sun Microsystems, made the observation that "bubbles precede buildouts." The idea is that excessive investor enthusiasm often fuels a massive investment bubble around a new technology that's correctly predicted to be the future. The bubble bursts, many investors lose money, and the inevitable buildout continues anyway. Sun itself made a number of excessive investments in technologies that ultimately did become important.
Fun fact: I worked at Sun Microsystems when he was making that argument, and stayed through Oracle's acquisition of what was left of Sun.
A question back at you, Ohioboy: Even if we all agree Bitcoin is part of the future, what is your basis for concluding it's a good investment today, at its current price?
