Did any of them get sent to prison for singing to loud in Sunday School?

I grew up in a house without air conditioning, its not life threatening. I wonder how many on here work all day in a place that isnt air conditioned.
They should have pursued a different live style if the wanted better living conditions

Well!!!! AC isn't a necessity in life. I never had AC till a few years ago and I never lived in a prison.

I thought the idea behind prison was for it to be miserable enough that upon release no one wants to go back?
Those who would give up essential liberty, to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety. Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790)

Sure miss the days of taking a summer ride and seeing the chain gangs clearing out ditches and such... They still do here.

Did have AC as a kid, till a bout age 15 then only downstairs my room was in attic 3rd floor, box fans in cross windows to pull air through
Grandparents no AC either ever, summer windows and fans also close windows at dawn trap in cool air pull shades it worked, though I do LOVE AC now
Far better is it to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure
