A few weeks ago I bumped into an argon/CO2 bottle and knocked it over. It broke the regulator. Fortunately the valve was shut off. Right then I decided it was time to build a welding cart. I've been fighting leads and hoses and having my arc and mig welders under foot. So this is what I came up with. Arc welder on the bottom, room behind it for a 50 pound box of rod plus a bunch of smaller boxes. The mig shelf has a trough for spools of wire and there is a shlf on the back fro the bottles. A piece of #2 machine chain with an spring in the middle keeps them snugged up to the cart. 10 inch wheels on the back and locking casters up front. A rack for two or three grinders. It consolidates my welders into a much smaller footprint.

Nice cart setup! I’d suggest you find a better way to store your wire though,( even plastic bags). Dust, grit, grindings, etc on the wire spools will cause problems with your whip’s liners & rollers for sure.

I have a bunch of heavy gallon ziplocks. I think I'll bag them up. Thanks for the heads up.

I certainly agree with putting your wire under cover and sealed as well, only takes a small amount of moisture to make the whole roll bad

How do you move that around as well, do you just push and pull or am I missing a handle for pulling it around

For all those DIY’ers following this thread, as an extra safeguard, I always clipped a pad-type wiper with tip cleaner on the wire before it went into the rollers.

In the second picture you see a little bit of the rebar handle.

a power strip that is mounted to the cart so the grinders can just stay plugged in

then you can leave the wire brush on one , a flapper on the next and you just grab and use they are already plugged in hanging on the stand.
