stinkypete OP trapper S Joined: Apr 2010 Ohio	I purchased this piece today. Any information would be helpful if it is authentic or a souvenir piece. Any help or knowledge on this piece would be appreciated. It is supposed to of been made in the Ontario Region. Medicine man head dress. Thank you

k snow trapper Joined: Oct 2009 east central WI	Modern, tourist piece. The bead colors are very modern. Loosely based off a split horn bonnet, a style commonly attributed to medicine men and other figures of importance. Old ones typically had the crown covered with strips of ermine, and lots of ermine tails. "in the midst of a savage wilderness to depend entirely upon their unassisted strength and hardihood"
