I liked his Love for trail cameras and unobstucted need to grow pumpkins and build "play pens for deer to bed in.

When I remember Savell.... the one thing that always comes to mind is his love of the spandex-wearing "male" bicyclists in his state. He was so enamored with them that the post about it went on for many, many pages and was one of the best posts in Tman history. I can not believe that it never ended up in the archives. frown

RIP buddy. The Kidd guy will always just be a shallow, insufficient shadow of the man we all knew and loved...........

Savell is not gone.

He's just busy planting food plots and putting out trail cameras. He's already named 3 or 4 potential shooter bucks...what I hear.

Which one is Savell ?

Savell, is the ornery one on the left. Donovan Wolfdog Builder of Many Things is in the middle and Carl Peel Those Beavers Fruit Farmer on the right.

I mistakenly posted two pictures of the ColdspringKidd. You can easily tell him from Savell because he wears Clark Kent like glasses. Savell doesn't.

Didn’t know him well.

Found many a reply of his pretty funny. Seemed to recall that he married way up above his weight class and appeared to swing a Junior’s Lady Driver from a golfing pic I seen’t once. May have been the angle of the club in the picture, but I ain’t convinced.

I will always remember his service as a deputy moderator. He was firm, but fair.

I hope the Lonestar flows in cricks up in heaven, and I hope the wildcats are well spotted.

That is a heartwarming thought. I hope Jessie James was there too.

Has there been an autopsy to determine cause of death as there are lots of rumors floating around on trapperman as to what happened ? We really need this to be determined. We sure don't want him exhumed.

Most folks didn't know the real Savell. I hear he had a real affinity for the music of Tiny Tim. Seems the fur shed would be rockin' out with joyous melodies like these.
He tried to get the local honky-tonk to play some of Tim's music one time and we almost lost Savell.

Yeah...he only spoke highly of two.....me and one old Tx officer (that put up with him.)

Sometimes I wasn't too sure if he thought much of me.

Savell was on my mind all day today...

...I looked out across the hollow today
...and saw a chilly artesian well
... and I thought of him... it was like a chilly... youthful...
...a generous water source, reminding me of his generous posts

...just like his memory... makes a man pause... and reflect......

Yote, I been up and at it since 0530. Before Savell died, he taught me the secret to avoiding hangovers.

I was unaware that you had admitted to the assassination publicly. I'm glad you're taking responsibility for your actions.

Never had much for the guy, drank half a can of that stuff he claims is beer with him once somewhere in Arkansas a long time ago. He chased Jlord around most of the time trying to get him to show him how to trap possums since he sells those possum tail ear rings at his road side stand, notice you don't see Lordy around here anymore either.

I imagine both joined that Mark June guy that turned into a preacher, hopefully they are helping him do the lords work now.

First I've heard of this. His sense of humor will be sorely missed. RIP.

I heard over the grapevine that Lone Star beer distributors in around SE Texas have lowered their flags to half mast for the past week.
