I wish we had one day nationwide set aside for voting. That would be the only day you could vote. Except for service members overseas everyone else would have to vote on that day. All counting would have to be complete in one week.

No early voting.

No mail in voting.

One day in person. Picture ID required. Must have been registered for a month prior. No same day registration.

What do y'all think about that?

Please discuss the act of voting/right to vote only. No D or R discussion please.

I think some early voting is warranted. Sometimes just one day isn't going to work for everybody.
48 hours is more than enough time to count all ballots.
Photo ID should absolutely be required.

Yup, one day. 12 hours to vote, 12 hours to count and done.

Dump the rolls after. Must reregister for each election a month in advance, must require ID and a physical address proof of residence. No absentee save for the physically disabled that can not show up in person. No excuses for out of town, etc. Either voting matters or it doesn't. Nothing mailed, EVER, ballot chain of custody beginning to end. Paper ballots only. No third party anything, only the voter can initiate the process, request ballot, cast ballot. No assistance allowed save for a voter designated assistant, assistant affadavit required under penalty of perjury.

Do yo think there were any shenanigans in the previous elections that were perpetuated by illegal votes and vote counting and ballot mishandling?

Make it a national holiday. MLK and Juneteenth got one. I think voting is much more important.

The big cities are the ones saying they can't get it done in a day, remind me again who runs the big cities, and they have lines out the door.

Yet, we can have a school elementary/middle/high plus fire and pilice stations enough to go around. IMO, if need be, bust the voting precincts down until you can run everyone through before lunch.
