Just a question for those of you who have or do use Victor #2 round jaw and have or do use Duke #2 round jaw which one would you order and or use? I have always ran Victor but with them no longer making traps I am starting to humor switching. Be for coyote, badger and fox. Thanks

I would suggest purchasing one of each trap you are considering on using???? Lol. I have a bunch of single traps! Get your hands on them and test it out. Much better than looking at pictures.

The Victor #2 & 3 FOJ have been good traps for me. The Victor Montgomery Dogless #2 & 3 Forged Offset Jaw traps are even better imho. When properly modified & adjusted.

I have never used any Duke traps. Good Luck!!

I've used the Duke # 2s and they worked just fine. It wouldn't be my first choice as a coyote trap, but I have caught and held coyotes in that trap.

I've used the Duke round jaw and caught a few coyote with them. They work like they should.

I like the duke num2. Great trap if the line is going to be a mix of coyote and fox. I modify my number twos but even with out modifications just some simple trap tuning never had issues holding big eastern coyotes in them.

It’s one thing to hold a big coyote….it’s another thing to have to work on traps in order to reset,or just change it out.

I have used Victor / Blake and Lamb and Montgomery traps my hole life. I remember when I was young my dad bought a bunch of duke traps. We put them to use that winter and they would bust to pieces. Now I know that was long time ago and traps have come along way, But I have never bought another duke. I have bought some of the MBs they are great traps. Just my 2 cents.

The flat dogs get bent up pretty easy. I like the rod dogs on the MBs 450s and 550s. Victor Montgomerys are bulletproof but the triangular swivels can get crunched.
