I like using mortons tender quick and brown sugar.follow the directions on the bag.inject it in several places next to the bone i leave it in the brine for 4 days then smoke.

add salt to your water till a raw egg will float. put the ham in. put a plate on the ham with a clean stone on the plate to submerge the ham. Wait for cold weather or do it in a fridge.

this one by age of anderson is good .i prefer the dry cure but it gives both
