We're dry as a popcorn fart just south of you too. And nothing in the 10 day forecast.

There are worse things than drought. Todays flooding and the last three years flooding. These clean up seem to be getting to be yearly routines.

You guys remember the movie Erin Brockovich? Well here she is. This was released within the last week. Wonder where your waters going?

Yes flooding creates real loss and alots of clean up and time, but drought is far more expansive even worldwide then many other natural weather related issues. We are fortunate that science and research have created modern day genetics in plants that has really made them handle drought much better. Corn genetics of even 30 years ago would do very poorly in the modern day weather extremes we are having in parts of the corn belt.

Mother nature balances out. Remember california crying more money more money . What happened to that ? Then when it flooded they didn't say they say anything about lakes filling back up.

We've been in a horrifying drought for almost the last decade.

If my place floods most the rest of the country will have drowned.
