I splurged on a feast last night and made this. Ate it over mash taters. Thought I'd share with ya-ins.

I had some gravy to add to it but I didn't need it. I just cooked those mushrooms down over top of it, added marsala wine to deglaze, seasoned steak in tonys. Added flour to thicken, onion powder, garlic powder, couple punches smoked Spanish paprika, and two or three tablespoons of minced garlic. Red pepper flake. Shot of siracha. Salt and pepper. I also added capers and smashed a can of anchovies in oil up in there. I cooked it down and added more masala wine to get it the right kind of runny. Couple bay leaves.

Yeah its over done if you look at it like that, I cooked it down tender in the gravy like a pot roast after searing the onions and steaks for dark crispy edges to soak in the gravy. If you were wanting them another way you could just get the gravy going and done and then cover the medium rare seared steaks with it too.

These cut with a fork like pot roast and I enjoyed slurping up the gravy over the taters.
