Talking to one of our local cable TV gurus, he said they are most common at a certain time of the year and cause a lot of extra service calls due to cable TV interruptions. I do, I’m always logged in unless the site kicks me off, which it does sometimes when I switch between using my PC and phone.

It’s actually loading fairly quickly for me right now. And I’m at camp on my phone with a cellular signal thats not the strongest.

I contacted the host and put in a ticket to have the problem looked at.

Does look like a half...hearted bot attack. Some vegan incel somewhere is probably feeling important right now.

All these "people" with different IP addresses trying to log in simultaneously are bots. By doing so they overload the server and make things slow. Normally anonymous users are mostly seen viewing random threads and and a good portion of them are actual people who just haven't logged in. Right now for every legit page request there are 6-8 login attempts from bots. This is not normal.
