I see on another site that isn't an outdoor site but had a guy use apple, acorn and persimmon spray scenting to attract deer to his large estate so he could watch the deer. I don't believe he hunted but loved to have deer around, he said it works good. I'm not so sure and he may have other things in his yard that they come there for.

My question to those that have tried this type of method for attracting deer does this really work or is it a joke.

Sweet corn maybe?

Okay have you tried it??? I'm just curious because I haven't recalled people using it they are all on food plots pumpkin patch or corn etc.. Just wondering if it is another far fetched money grabbing product.

Thank You for your view.

Anise works, actually, on pretty much everything...Vanilla too.
I used to have one spot that had a short window to see deer before they moved past...a little anise on a sapling was enough for them to stop and take a whiff long enough to get a bead on them...

I usually have a few apples with me, rub, grind, pulverize them on the bark a few white oak trees, about head height. They come for the apple but stay for the acorns.

You can attract deer to a scent but if there's nothing to hold them (water food and shelter) they will check it out and move on

Sounds like snake oil salesman to me

Get you a bag of jurassic rock apple spice mineral and dump it on the ground. Put a trail cam in front of it. Sit back and enjoy

Every time I irrigate a field deer will be there that night. Plants that are happy release odors that deer like.
