I did today……. Started the day at 6 stacking wood . After1/2 hour i said screw it and went inside. Feeling guilty now

Yeepppp work from 21-39 days at a go and when I'm home for my 10-21or so days a lot of times I'll be working on something and just go " ya know what .. screw it I'm going back to bed "

The trouble with loafing every day is it's hard to take a break.

I'm going to need to schedule a day off, I never wanted to live my life on a schedule and now every day of my life is scheduled.

I used to take lots when I was a heavy boozer. Now, I take vacation to go west or into the US. In fall there’ll be the odd day here and there for goose and deer hunting. A few days over winter for trapping, winter is when I’m real busy. Full time work with OT, then fur to put up and a line to maintain.
I finally finished spreading 10 tones of A-base around 11 this morning. Started around 6AM to avoid the heat. Trailer broke so had to use the ole wheelbarrow for the ladt dozen trips. Buddy has a skid steer that would’ve made it a 1hr job, but screw it……lol. It’s nice seeing that pile disappear…….feels like I did something.
Went for a nap then got the glass mounted on my CZ 600, then started to pack for the one week trip to the States next weekend.
Might watch a movie now.

The most relaxing time for me is getting back to the shack at -30 as the sun sets, stoking the stove full and watching a couple hockey games with buddy Freezer. No stress out there, things can go wrong but it’s ok. Everything we need is there, shelter, food, water, heat.

Yes, I am not good at taking my vacation. We accrue time to only so much, so have to take time just to keep accruing.

I did a little trap equipment maintenance. Then went inside. Its 103 here again today.

To answer the thread’s title, no. If it’s there to be done, I need to see it done!

I'm retired I do take a day off once in a while to just bum. I stay busy with life and never really take a day off from the things I love to do, that is why I retired.

Being retired is my new job and it keeps me busier then I want to be at times.

Every Sunday, unless a sheep falls in a pit....

I might take off tomorrow. Work is overrated.

Had a bunch of stuff to do the other day. Loaded the wife and daughter in the boat and went to the lake instead. Sure don't regret it.
