From reading the regulations pertaining to crop damage, as an "agent " all I need is a up to date hunting or trapping license and written permission for the land owner.
Is this correct?
TIA

Opinions vary on this, but I would take that direct question to the warden for your area. Be very specific that you've been asked to remove nuisance critters causing damage and want to verify what specifically he/she will require as proof of "agent". If all wardens were like David Walz that we had previously by us and used strictly common sense, you would be golden with written permission. Unfortunately a few have ego's that have grossly surpassed reality and everything is guilty until proven innocent. BTW - I would do that as an email and not a verbal conversation

Thanks for the feedback, contacting the local warden.
Proper documentation is key!

Guys farms I'm allowed to hunt called me today and is all kinds of PO about coon damage in corn.
Can even walk along his waterway with all the stalks down, saying it the worst he's ever seen.
I told him 5 years ago it might be a problem.., now his neighbors want them gone also.
