Was at Menards over the weekend to get some 3/8 rebar for stakes.. I was cutting the 20 foot sections so they could fit in the truck and the blasted bolt cutters cracked clear across on the cutting portion.
I think I had that set for at least 25 years. Went in and got another one for 22 bucks so I could cut them into 20 inch lengths at home. I’ve never had that happen before,,, cut ALOT of rebar with it. You guys ever experience that??

I always use an abrasive wheel chop saw, so's I can cut it at an angle to save a couple of steps.

busted plenty over the years. Most hold up well and depends on what you use them on and that you have the right size. I've had a few guys that always grabbed the smallest ones out of the trailer to do the biggest job

I always use an abrasive wheel chop saw, so's I can cut it at an angle to save a couple of steps. To get the 20' sticks home, I use an abrasive wheel on a battery grinder. Rebar chews up those wheels pretty quick.

Not all rebar is created equal. Some is as hard as rocks.

I’m looking forward to tomorrow’s trials and tribulations…….and then the day after that, and so on and so forth….

Yeah but I forgot to post online about it. I thought breaking stuff is normal. I think I've broken about every tool I've ever used with any frequency.
