You mentioned you were going to try the jurassic rock apple spice . Got any pics on it yet ?

Not yet. Been out a week.

One 20lb bag is poured on this stump. Feeder is spinning out corn twice a day too.


Other is poured on a clay soil area under this pear tree.


Deer are here every night. But, no tracks or disturbance at the mineral pile.

I was there today and the rain has crusted over the mineral.

Tractor supply didn't have it in the bags but had a gallon jug of Jurassic rock apple spiced Sauce so I bought that. We feed all year but mostly just does, fawns and last years button bucks. I put a little bit on there main mineral lick then some more on a old rotten log real close to the lick. The last two days it seems the better part of what comes in will stop and lick on that old log plus there main mineral lick. I'll wait another week then add a little more. One heck of a good reaction so far. Mostly we won't see any bigger bucks for at least 3 more weeks. That's the way it's been for the last 10 years or so.

Yesterday, I looked at what I poured out near the pear tree. We have had over 1.5" of rain past 3 days. The mineral has nearly dissolved away. Could probably put what's left of 20 lbs in a Dixie cup. Deer paying it no attention.

I guess it's just a Southern thang!

Western game seem to have the same attitude for that also. No interest what so evah!!!
