(Edit) size it down a tiny bit

Look around in your phone when you have the picture open, for an edit button. It will look like a pencil. Click on it and somewhere in there there should be an option to resize the pic. This is for Android phones. People with Apple phones seem to have a much harder time resizing.... I don't know why.......never used an Iphone.

Easiest way I have seen, with ipone is email it to yourself - it gives you a cboice of size. Medium is about the largest this site will consistently accept. One you receive it in email, click on picture and save to pictures and the you can use it on this site
