Ice cold showers air conditioning lots of space and don't ask what's for dinner.

Invariably you will be blamed for it happening to her. She may never utter words to that affect and may never actually realize that she feels that way, but it will be there.
After it passes (it will seem like 14 years even though it won't be anywhere near that long), she will hang onto that notion of it being your fault subconsciously.
Your metal will forever be tested.
In conclusion, there is no advice to be given other than suck it up buttercup.
It does pain me to be the bearer of this news.

One outlier is that in my case, I married a redhead. Your mileage may vary, but probably not by much.

One is called a cycle because it just cruises by while being unreasonable
The pause is where they just stop cruising and just become totally unreasonable for an extended period

Mine went thru it many years ago. Hardly noticed. She just turned 70 an is making up for it now!

Lost my first marriage to it. 25 yrs.
Hung on until there was nothing .
The mentality just dissolved.
6-8 yrs of trying to protect her from the predators that took advantage of her and her condition.

Valerian has been used as tea for menopausal relief for thousands of years. A big spoon of honey in it too

Women are at times completely irrational creatures. That sucks, but there's no valid alternative. Saying I am not going to be treated this way and sticking with it helps. The fear of losing you, if they don't control their raging emotions, can make the more sensible women behave better, part of the time.

my wife went from the start of it to cancer to dead so fast

not a good solution but chemo will take a woman from maybe a year into it to post menopause in a couple months , yes there are other side effects.

my aunt who is 3 years older than I am swears by the hormone replacement therapy.
