I thought this was a good place for a swivel
[Linked Image]

I will have another swivel (barrel) about 10" away and another 10" with a loop on the end.

Great idea. I purchased those tear drop connectors, but I like your idea better. I have already made a bunch of those swivels. I use them on low water stoploss. They fit over a piece of lath perfectly. Question, with the barrel swivels? are you using chain or cable?

Cable, as soon as my stainless supplies arrive in the mail
I need some more #9 wire, everything I have is rusty

My jig for this is a hickory hammer handle with a hole drilled in it
I cut grooves 1/4" wide by 3/4" deep into a deep well socket to do the twisting

Not a fan of the wire swivels as they can bind up. I run a cable loop off the spring eye directly to a barrel swivel or a box swivel.
