I remember reading a few times , in the older trapping mags from the 40s and earlier… about a bacon and honey concoction to use as an attractant. I have never tried it,,, but for some reason.. as I was pouring the bacon grease out of the skillet this morning… that popped into my head.
Any of you guys ever tried it?? If so, any degree of success?? It’s a curiosity thing right now for me. Might make up a batch this year to play around with.

Too many bears around here to use a bait like that. Too many possums around here to use a bait like that.

If it is the one, it’s a winner! I put it head-to-head without picking & choosing locations with Junes Widowmaker with very good records and it pushed WidowMaker right off my line!!!! LOL I will admit I added 4oz of O’Gorman’s Old Bucks Death to the volume of bait in the recipe. When the OBD worked so well I than added O’Gorman’s OLL-CC two years later and my fall coyotes loved it !
