Got home from grocery shopping yesterday around supper time. As I was putting stuff away, there was a knock on my door. A man around 30 wanted to use my bathroom.
I said no my wife was using it and he could use my woods to relieve himself---he said he needed to do both jobs--again I said no,use the woods, I figured if the deer could use it for the last 2 years--it should be good enough for him,
Obviously he didn't have to go bad enough--as he headed down the street,

We let a Hispanic woman and two Hispanic girls use our bathroom and they stole some earrings and over the counter pills. It's not happening again.

Nobody I dont know will be in my home with few exceptions . Exception would be a car wreck out front or other emergency.

Gypsies do that. Any fake reason or excuse to get into your home/on your property and they're very persuasive. Sometimes they ask for a glass of water, and when everyone had landlines, they pretended they needed to make a phone call. I know that in the US, they sometimes pretend to be Hispanic or Eastern European/Mediterranean, because many of them look sort of mediterranean rather than Indian, and you guys don't have the default cautiousness with them that most Europeans have (including recognizing them and their schemes, such as when they pretend that they're wealthy and that their car broke down). Their culture is based on theft, scam and relatively low-level human/drug trafficking. They also drive around pretending to want to buy old stuff or scrap metal, for the same purpose. They scan for valuables/dogs/security and pass on the information to their thief brigades, so it won't be the same people.

And they still steal horses Stole my son's great-grandfather's draft horse.

Years ago I let a customer use our house bathroom when he came to pick up a mount. The guy literally whizzed all over the place. It was disgusting. Had I noticed it before he left there would have been trouble.

Another time, opening day of deer season, I came home from hunting and my Bride said some daypack wearing hiker/hitch hiker guy stopped at the house (we lived on a state hwy at the time) and asked if he could use the john....said it was serious. The wife told him to use the woods as well. A few days later I was back behind the house in the woods and behind a brushpile I found the guys jeans and BVD's! He'd puffed his britches and must have had a change in his daypack because he left the ones he filled with crapola. Tens of thousands of acres of woods in my county.....can't imagine going to a strangers door and asking to use their crapper. Takes all kinds.

I live out in the country, sure id let someone use my John, can, loo, privy, bathroom, toilet. I am also well armed, versed in physical combat and not a small man

I do allow guys doing work for me to use my basement bathroom BUT I make sure there is nothing remotely of value viewable. If the prying-eyes don’t get you, a prying-eyes buddy sitting on the next barstool could!! Same philosophy I used all the decades I trapped canines, never allowed a “ride-along”, my permissions always came with a “my eyes only” statement from me!

Here in St. Louis Co, Mo we have groups of Gypsies that go around trying doors to see if any are unlocked, they enter and steal whatever they can carry off. It's always the females that do it, the men just hang around to make bail for them.

Heck, people here don't even lock their house doors. I think i got a key somewhere for mine. Dad and mom are in their 80's and never locked their house or cars.

About 60, people out here just don't seem to have these problems. Not being a sucker. And like I said, and you omitted, I guess it depends on where you live

I don't live in fear about someone knocking at my door but am cautious at times if something seems weird,

My neighbor 6 houses down so maybe a mile came walking past my house heading toward his, walking fast, mad and cussing loud enough walking down the road when I was working on my truck last summer. He was loud enough my wife heard him and opened the door to see what was going on. By the time I got out from under the truck he was gone on down the road. He was fast stepping. I was going to get on to him about cussing so loud but didnt get the chance.

I left for work on nights. The next morning dad sent me a txt with news article. The guy shot his wife in the head that night. Found out she was cheating.

So who cares whats the point. You never have a clue what someone is going through and their state of mind. Had I got out from under my teuck and told the guy off he may well have turned his anger on me and yes I had my gun on my hip like always but im not a guy that has a lot of bravado and know I would not have been able to register the threat and react before the threat could have taken me out.

I live in the country anything can happen anywhere.
