If you have a Tractor Supply nearby; they sell a trap called The Squirrelinator..Set it on the ground and put a little corn/sunflower seeds around it and in it. That is probably the best trap I have ever seen. I even caught 2 kitten coons in one,,,no idea how they got in but they did

Funny it's against the law in Ohio last I knew.
Always had ideas though.

They are game animals here last i looked so cant trap them. I was wanting to try to snare them untill I looked.

Inlaws use to catch problem one in a small box trap.

Drill a quarter inch hole through a walnut, English or black, put it on the trigger of a 110 conibear. You’ll slaughter the squirrels and not catch birds or cats or anything else but squirrels. If rabbits are the quarry drench the nuts in vanilla. Yeah it’s tricky drilling a hole through an English walnut but the results rule the day! Good luck!

I’ve seen heard of them but only thought they were for ground squirrels. Heading to TSC today. Thank you.

Mink nares on a running log or on the top of a fence. Most times they can be reused a few times. The most fun is a small pile of corn and a good .177 or .22 cal. pellet gun.

Location, location, location

My absolute guaranteed set is a 110 over the hole they are entering the roof, next is a cage on the roof immediately adjacent to the hole, on the roof where the squirrel first hits the roof from the tree limb/powerline/down spout, the deck rail next to the bird feeder where the squirrel eats, the fence top from bird feeder/deck rail back to the tree with the limb leading to the roof.

You catch the theme here? There are two of them. Set where the squirrel will be and for squirrels height is safety for them.

my go to is a tube trap they use for mink. I put some peanut butter on the pan. I have a quick link on the trap, run a chain or cable around a nearby tree. I don't want a fox running off with my trap. I use to use a 110, but had a hawk try to take off with the squirrel in it one day. A pellet gun is my other go to option.

Caught a few with Tunnel traps I bought for my sons 25 years ago. The mink masher and the critter crusher.
