Getting slower and slower.

We are still reviewing the intermittent slowness and will also investigate whether the high number of bots accessing the forums could be contributing to the performance issues.

If we determine that bot traffic is a factor, we will review what options may be available to help limit or block that traffic.

We will provide an update once we have more information.

Probably more of an irritant to the younger crowd here. Patience . . . Those of us who grew up with party lines remember too well waiting for a neighbor to get off the phone so you could make a phone call.

So, we are heading in the wrong direction?..

Would not surprise me in the least if it turns out to be some sort of denial of service attack by antis/leftists.

Are you describing the site or the members of T-MAN? Seems that some are in such a hurry they fail to actually enjoy some of the smaller things in life that are actually enjoyable

I've noticed that it's not just this site that's getting slower and shutting down at times.
China hacking our internet? Or is it domestic ?

Seems like the host sure is taking their good old time finding a fix for this issue.

The speed has been significantly better over the past few days for me after being slow for weeks.

I think I saw a cloudflare verification page pop up a couple of times, so they are doing (or at least testing) something.

Telling you CLEAR OUT that wordel thread and see what happens. Loading that one thread each time is a task. NOT A COMPUTER guru but everything that the site must load slows it down. Look at the comments on that thread alone.....
