what do you think is wrong with it?

https://rumble.com/v7eczq0-messed-up-coyote.html

I also have a more zoomed out camera that show's it for around 25 yards. Its moving like this the whole time, except at the end (in taller grass), its hopping almost like a rabbit. Its front legs are not working.

I wasn't there. That's a PTZ (pan tilt zoom) 4k security camera on my garage at the hunting property.

Yeah, I'm spoiled. My wife even got me a coffee mug that says "being a trophy husband is exhausting"

I was thinking I might go for a first ever elbow catch. Do you think I could make that happen?

Here's a longer video from that's zoomed out more.

…. I guess you could try to catch it by the elbow

… believe I’d just walk up and knock that inbred thing over the head with an axe handle though lol

Sorry critter....... hope you find some way to put it out of its misery. frown

Not sure what is the cause of that but pretty certain it is going to have a hard time surviving

I would shoot on site and save it a slow death

Yeah if I get the chance I’ll put it down immediately. But I expect it will be dead before I’m there again.

AI looked at the video and said it’s likely a neurological problem, possibly distemper. Boco has a solid theory too though.

with the way it moves I think birth defect or neurological issue

something that would damage both front legs the same way would seem to be less likely

however animals know no rules so it may have one perfectly working front leg and just finds that to be the easier way to move to work with the non working one

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

Many years ago I had a beagle that had something happen to one of its back legs. I think it got hit by a car. It got around on three legs. When it would run slow it would run on three legs but when it decided to run fast, all of a sudden, all four legs started working.

Totally agree, not sure what’s wrong and unless it’s in a area with a lot of road kill I’d say it’s chances of long term survival are slim, but I’ve seen some amazing survival successes by animals you would expect not to survive,

My brother has a dog that has multiple birth defects, one leg has what looks like two feet on it or two that tried to form, then it has multiple extra toes on the other three, eight, six regular and two dee claws, then it has a messed up jaw that makes eating hard except for really small bites of food along with missing teeth and limited mobility

But she’s the happiest dog you’ll ever meet and she gets along just fine, she’s also boss dog of our three house dogs, and while she runs funny she keeps up with the others just fine

Animals with missing legs or feet, blind, bad jaws teeth or other defects, seen more the one and they have been doing well, but I would still take that one out just out of pity if nothing else

That left leg looks to be broken, other probably is too. Someone probably shot too low. If that's the case, it may well survive it once the bones heal. He likely won't be as deadly as he used to be, but deadly, nonetheless. He's going to have to rely on still hunting grasshoppers and roadkill for a while.
You bout have to cut their head off and hide it from them to kill a coyote.

That coyote has lead poisoning in both front knees.....probably delivered by a .22 magnum.
