How many miles are you expected to get out of one if its driven sensible and well maintained.ive seen quite a few used ones with anywhere from 10,000 to 15,000 miles on them and still pretty good price tag.i talked with a mechanic and he said there good for 30,000 if taken care.

I think a lot of it depends on where you use it. On my place, 3/4 of the year you are going to be driving in some mud to a lot of mud. All the underside joints where out fairly quickly - 5000/6000 miles. Engine is fine. Replace a lot of bearings, etc. if you are driving uplands, my utv mechanic said 20,000 common

Most guys I know with extreme miles on them have already replaced an engine, or transmission, or something else expensive.

I got 9000 on my Yamaha and its on its third clutch.

My ranger was a disaster. New transmission at like 3K, all new suspension bushings about that time. And lots of small stuff. Engine went goofy at about 8K and I sold it as is.



I was told by a guy that knows more about them than me, 1000 miles on a SxS is like 10,000 on a pickup.

I’ve got some folks I know with 20 k plus miles on their Honda pioneers and still going strong. Maintenance sure helps longevity

Had a 700 honda, well maintained. Needed $8000.00 to fix when clutches started slipping. 23000 miles. Traded it for a 1000.

I knew a couple guys in Georgia where we used to go hog hunting that had the 6X6 Polaris rangers that had in excess of 30K miles on them. That’s why I bought my 08 Ranger 700 XP which had 7K miles on it when I got rid of it last year when I purchased a 2025 Honda Pioneer 1000. I was always a Honda guy but back in 08 Honda was dragging their feet bringing out their UTV and with the miles the guys in Georgia were getting out of the Rangers I went that route. The Ranger served me well with nothing major repair wise over the 17 years. Normal wear items brakes, 1 belt, fuel pump.
