Dave, search for support positions at the local hospitals and clinics ... parking valet, greeter/information, patient transporter ( hospital ), patient observation, food services, linen and laundry, housekeeping, maintenance tech, ect.
All kinds of part time and full time jobs available typically; but you'll may need the annual mandated shots for your and patient health protection.

I was at a major clinic yesterday picking up sample drugs for Christine, they had 3 individuals in the lobby working as greeters, directing and offering assistance as needed to visitors/ patients.

How is your driving record?

If it is good check with all the major auto part stores and see if they need a delivery driver

The walmarts here lost door greeters years ago

I don't know where you live but our Walmart is always looking honest help. I do wish you the best of luck finding something that you can do.

Local colleges around here have night and day shifts in security and other services. Most of the work is answering calls for help with jump starting kids cars that sit too long, or low tires, or maybe need an escort to their car for safety. Lot of sitting by desk but getting up when needed.

You should be able to get a summer job cutting grass with a lawn care business or 1 of the several golf courses in the area.if you worked all summer you could take the winter off and trap.i know its a little ways but the galena territory is always looking for people to help mow homeowners lawns and the golf courses sit down job on a rider and your outside.
