Appointments are far out and difficult to get care on a timely basis. Is it that way for you too?

Wife and I are recovering now. Treating like the flu. Tired a lot.

You must finally be going through with your gender reassignment surgery. I am sure the habit of sitting down to pee will be hard to break.

I have nothing clever to put here.

Not really, we can get in to see our primary provider within 2-5 business days, maybe same day if timing is right. Urgent care and ED is always available it need is immediate. Specialist for non emergency appointments are out about a week to two weeks be pending on the speciality.

Last year, getting in to get my pacemaker was 3 months because there was only one electro-cardiologist in the care system; but I could have had it sooner with a referral to a local neighboring care provider were there were 7 docs available. That situation has been rectified in our care system.

Has went downhill drastically. Hard to get an appointment and specialists pretty much moved away. Healthcare is still good. It is just 50 miles further away.

Pretty good here.
I had cataract surgery july 22.t was originally scheduled for september but since DR Oliver knew I was a trapper and would be busy at that time during the recovery,he bumped it up to july.
Im good to go right now-all healed up for grouse shooting sept.and can see much better.

depends how flexible you can be

my clinic is 7 minutes from the house , I can call up to make an appointment for a week or two out and as long as I am willing to take whatever time they have I can get in to see my doc.

My work will let me be fairly flexible as long as I am scheduling my time off for an hour a week or two out.

specialists , 3-6 months is the norm unless you take the first available appointment option and just tell work you won't be there that day.

we did the when my wife got cancer , took every first available appointment for imaging and anything they had , usually they gave notice to us by 4pm that we needed to be there by X time the next day.
sort of sad when you realize it is because someone's cancer treatment ended that yours can begin.
but what comes around goes around and that ends for you also.

doctors and nurses got burnt out during covid any who could retire did many who could take a different line of non clinic work did.

Hospital admin didn't help this

they are running "fully staffed" on a skeleton staff

can't get enough new Dr's trained

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.
