Just placed an order with them. Ian was super nice and explained the duty charges.
Texted and phone called.
For anyone looking they had the Zepf double handled curved and straight fleshers. A little pricey (now duty is paid under $800) and well worth it. I liken them to Ron Post's double handled knives.

Thank you

Who else does business with them?

About 80% of my business is with Ian & family. We've developed a bit of a relationship where I scratch his back and he scratches mine.
You won't be disappointed with Post. His knives are like those scalpel knives. I got a few of em including the curved flesher. You just kinda guide the blade and let it slice down on it's own. Made a few nicks the first few strokes....lol.

Yup, Ian and family are top notch. You can also check out Canadian Coyote Company and the FHA trap store.

Checked out Canadian coyote company. Found a knife i really want in my collection. Can't find it anywhere else.
A caribou beaver knife. Just can't justify the cost with Duty and shipping. If anyone know somebody else that sells it I would appreciate the info.

I love them! I buy from them all the time. They carry some things that are hard to find. They are super nice and my orders are always correct.

I spotted some cable connectors from one of Shakeyjakes posts that I wanted and could not find them in the USA. He told me they had them and I ordered them right away.

Love the Dang Beaver trap supply store in Canada.

I get 100% of what I buy for trapping from Ian at Dam Beaver. They run a great business and are very willing to make things satisfactory for customers.
I also leave 100% of what I catch with him or his helpers as they are the ones travelling around the province, gathering for for FHA. Having this can save on shipping costs if you’re needing something around the same time as FHA fur pick up schedule is nearest to you.

F&T has some but not that particular one on their site. Send em an email, most stores sites don’t have everything listed……..they just got too much stuff. I’m sure I saw some at one of the dealers at the Minnesota convention too

Nope, still not the same one. Those are their curved skinners. Not the straighter looking one one.

Thanks so much for looking for me.

Im looking for the caribou straight backed beaver knife

Dale, get ahold of Boco I’m sure he’d send you one.

That might be the cheapest, but I’m not sure how much your border inspects packages. If they see a knife in the scan, you’ll probably get dinged when you pick it up. Up here some stuff slips by but most doesn’t. Easiest is to cross it yourself at a good isolated little crossing. Coming in I’m always honest and they let me through without paying duty even though they know there’s knives and steel in the back.

How many beaver do you clean skin, that you want that knife in your collection? The Green River 5” curved skinner works pretty good at 1/2 the price. Carbon steel too.

Tapper Les, I trap 50-100 beaver a year.
I clean skin about 10 and I try maybe 6 over my lap.
Im not that good with either of those techniques yet but im getting better.
The rest i do on the beam like i have for the last 45 years.

Like I stated, I like COLLECTING these knives.Ive used them all at least a few times and have my favorites
Some people collect stamps some collect ex wives.
I like trapping stuff.
I also have quite a collection of two handled fleshers.
Here's just a few of the skinners I have.
