I tried an experiment and used what I got. Shame on me I guess. It tasted pretty good. Was it the best I had, nope. Was it good and enjoyable to do, yes.....we got a few knuckleheads in here, but I have thick skin. I figure they must not feel good about themselves. That's too bad.

Of all the methods I've used over many years, wood, charcoal, gas, electric, pit barrels, and pellet, I now prefer using the pellet with 100% Hickory or Pecan Cooking Pellets brand. Easier, cleaner, no fuss, no mess and very little cleanup. The best part . . . you don't have to constantly have to feed it and watch it for temp! Once you learn to prepare the meat properly, it's as simple as it gets and it also does chicken, turkey, and prime rib are excellent! :-)
