Kevin, galvanized plating flashes-off at around 700°F. If you're concerned about getting sick from welding galvanizing, just string the washers on a piece of #9 wire or something similar and toss them in a bonfire or wood stove and burn the galvanizing off that way. As with welding, just stay upwind while they flash-off. Pretty simple!!
