Yep. They wanted a bigger facility that could host the Super Bowl. Mo voters voted it down and KS voters passed it so the new stadium will be 20 miles east of Lawrence on the outskirts of KC Ks. The Royals are wanting a new stadium also.

Green Bay Packers Lambeau Field has been made into one of if not thee destination of NFL stadiums. This is how they did it. Chiefs want it all with no work or effort.

-Private Investment: The bulk of recent projects, like the $140.5 million Atrium renovation, were funded privately by the Packers themselves, without public tax dollars.

-Stock Sales: The team has used proceeds from public stock sales to help finance major upgrades, raising substantial funds for capital projects.

-NFL Loans: The league also provided loans (like G-4 funds) to help finance construction and renovation, supplementing private funding.

-Titletown District: Investments extend beyond the stadium to the surrounding Titletown district, involving partners like Microsoft and Kohler, creating a mixed-use area.

Just moving to Kansas…shoot. Here I was hoping they were moving to New Hampshire, so Nessy wouldn't have so far to travel for their games.

I heard about it earlier in the week

Kansas pretty well rolled out the red carpet and offered a blank check for a new stadium.

While Missouri sat back and offered up pretty much nothing.

They had to of seen this move coming.

Especially when a large portion of the season ticket holders have Johnson county Kansas addresses.

It's interesting to me that tax payers will gladly foot the bill to build a stadium to house a team owned by a multi billionaire.

Yes I understand the revenue $$$$ it will bring into the area, but I'm still shocked at how eagerly tax payers offered to foot the bill for a billionaire to entertain them with his gang of millionaires.

It's either that or "Bye bye". Some other city would have done it in half a heartbeat.

The kansas voters had nothing to do with it. If we did it would have voted down like missouri did. Clark Hunt can take his 25 billion and move somewhere else. Preferably Canada.

green bay puts a tax on everything for the stadium they say, special tax on motel room with a minimum of two-night stay, and double the cost, but I would think most places do this,

IDK. I guess it's unfortunate that Missouri is loosing the Chiefs after 50+ years. But I honestly don't care. I don't watch them on TV and certainly don't go to the games to hang out with drunk and obnoxious citiots.

Im still surprised that tax payers are so eager to foot the bill for a new stadium and then pay stupid money to attend a game. I'm glad that I'm easily entertained in the woods and on the water and don't feel compelled to waste my money on stuff like that. I waste it on trapping, hunting and fishing supplies. Lol

Tax money for these things doesn't bother me as much as the fraud involved in NGO's that SURPRISE, get govt money.

The state will recoup most of it back by selling naming right and tax dollars generated thru having sales in the state.

There comes a point liberalism has gone too far, we're past that point.

The area that the Chiefs are going to be relocating to is a nice area. Kansas Speedway, Sporting KC Park, shopping for the ladies, a nice sized BPS (much better when it was Cabela's), plenty of places to eat, expensive motels.

The current Arrowhead Stadium is surrounded by Ghetto, homelessness, hookers, drugs all within a few minutes of the stadium.

I fully understand their decision to jump on the offer from Kansas.
KCMO and Missouri combined couldn't come up with anything in the last year to get them to consider staying in the KCMO area.

I'm also glad that my money isn't going to be paying for any of it. Lol
