beaverpeeler trapper Joined: Dec 2006 Oregon	I have almost found myself capable of assault on neighbors who willfully plant female cottonwoods next to our farm! The fluff has a charge that makes it stick to fruit if it gets close. Last edited by beaverpeeler; 06/21/26 12:26 PM. My fear of moving stairs is escalating!

Sullivan K "Keith" S Joined: Dec 2006 Northern Ohio ...	I bought a roll of nylon window screen and cut pieces to cover the air intakes on my A.C. I use magnets to hold it in place. When it gets covered with cotton wood seed I just take it off, brush it off, and put it back on. Works great.

As kids, when it wind-rowed up on the side of the road we would light it at night and watch it burn fast and blue. MISSOURI	I just got done cleaning mine, i got one cottonwood tree to the south and one just north both are not on my land but have got and trimmed what i could reach with 60 ' bucket truck and pole saw . 50 + years of trapping & some fur buying and i still know nothing.

KeithC trapper K Joined: May 2009 Champaign County, Ohio.	I get volunteer cottonwood trees in a lot of my pots. I pot them up in other pots and sell them for $20.00 each. Some people like them and some people hate them. I hate when the cottonwood fibers get twisted around my fishing line and clog my reels. Balm of Gilead is a good use for the buds in the Spring. Keith

No cotton wood but for some reason they placed the dryer vent over the top of the ac, maybe that would work for it as well.
