Are having a hard time getting up this morning. We have a full day. Plan to squirrel hunt deer scout a woods we have not been to yet this year. Go to bow shop and get my wifes bow adjusted for my youngest and get new arrows and sights, get new tires on my 16 year olds car, drop head off for cwd testing then get home and maybe get some wood brought in or at least get the load off the truck or drop the boys off to deer hunt?
See the pattern out side of maybe geting wood its all for the boys, yet im the only one up and neither have came down after I have shaken them awake. Geting to the point when they want to do something im going to stay in bed untill they wake me up. Flip the script if you will. Will get to sleep in more times than not I suspect.
Just venting a bit of frustration. After a day like this I will be shot for 1 or two days even in a lazy supervisor non driving roll and the kids wont get up and get moving. When I was a kid I would have been up and waiting ready to go.

it's a struggle
unfortunately you are living in different worlds
you are seeing an end and probably feel rushed to do it all before you can't.
they see the rest of their lives ahead of them.
Also this is probably closer to the pace things take when you were off at work. They could match your energy for a couple days but rested while you were away working.
it's 7:38 your time now and they are probably up. and you got moving , time will probably never move the same for you as you struggle with the MS.
don't let the frustration turn to anger but maybe do put on music and make it a little louder and a little louder.
America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

Dixie cup of sand in their bed will get them up early. Mom would yank the covers back and put a frozen loaf of bread on our backs. I rarely "played possum" after that a few times.

I can't remember my dad taking me hunting as a teen, he may have helped me track a deer or something. As teenagers they are young men, give em a bit of rein.
by and large, you're right. Women are almost always awful.

They are at an age where they need more sleep. My dad always seemed to like waking me up early, mostly for no apparent reason. I would go to school until 3:00pm, start work at 3:30pm, work until after 11:00, get home close to midnight and be in bed by 1:00am. He would still wake me up around 7:00am on weekends. Now, if I call him before 9:00am and sometimes even after 10:00am, he is in bed still. I should probably wake him up early more, for vengeance, but I'm not that big of a jerk.

If you want to wake up a lazy lump grab one leg of the bed at the foot of the bed and give it a good hard jerk straight up in the air.Doing that will leave the lazy lump on the floor up against the wall with the bed matress and all upside down on top of him. Had to do that quite a few times as a gang foreman on the Railroad.
Forget that fear of gravity-get a little savagery in your life.

They probably dont want to do all that stuff. Yep, or maybe it's too much for them in one day. Your teens are not you. Ease up for a while and let them make the call. There minds are probably on a thousand other things, like girls. One thing I learned and continue to learn from my GREAT grandchildren is.....they don't always want you to make their agenda. Some like to "wing it" or a lot of times teens and kids just change their minds. No reason given.

I can't remember my dad taking me hunting as a teen, he may have helped me track a deer or something. As teenagers they are young men, give em a bit of rein. Im required for transportation. The oldest can't drive alone yet. I believe the problem is the exact opposite. Mom has given them to much slack.

True story in town when I was 18.
A local kid named Roger was driven hard by his old man..
It finally boiled ovah...And Roger shot his old man dead.
Maybe he stacked the wood wrong or something...
