Keep them flat and pack them as tightly as possible in the freezer. You want as little air in the bundle as possible.
You might try wrapping them in newspaper and then tighten up the bundles with string to keep them compressed.
You can tuck the tails up inside the pelt so that they don't get in the way.
You will want to store them in a freezer that is NOT frost free. Frost free freezers - the ones that self defrost - are not good for storing fur. I guess I knew that as I've been looking for a few after my fire. The problem I have is I can't find any. I go to auctions and all that but do they make them anymore?

Many times buyers dock for stale goods. The fur I ship to the auctions seems to always have stale goods and it has never been graded stale.

Honestly, I think you might want to sell this year at the late auction. I think you will do better than holding them for a year. But, whatever floats your boat!

Whether they get thrown out for being stale is how well they come out of the freezer. Do what WissMiss said. Seal them as well as possible and try to keep all the air away from the pelts. If they turn yellow on you then you know they are grease burnt.
Never argue with a fool - they will drag you down to their level, then beat you with experience.

I flesh mine and then directly vacuum seal them without stretching them. I will stretch them when I thaw them out. Look like brand new furs.
How many lies will people believe before they realize their own idiocy?
