Was brushing Charlie's teeth this morning and thinking about how he goes wild just to lick, lick, lick that toothbrush and . . . . BOINK!

What if a fella was to smear a bit of this on the top of the cylinder and again on whatever he places on the trigger or below it? A 'coon has got to love this dog toothpaste as much as, well, a dog does, maybe?

I do believe some experimentation is on the docket.

Anyone tinker with this stuff? This dog can't get enough of it in minute quantities!

Oh, and Charlie just turned six months today. Pic is maybe a month old.

Interesting. Thought I was the only one who brushes their dogs teeth!

As far as bait, I think there's got to be better/cheaper options available.

It's worth testing! I know muskrats like toothpaste. I just buy the biggest/cheapest tube from the dollar store.

Mint flavored toothpaste does work well for 'rats.

I'm talking about the toothpaste made for canines. This is what we use.

Did Blue Eyes take that portrait of you 2?

Maybe smear a dab on a log and put up a trail camera.

Always thought about catfish paste bait, too...After my dog ate a sponge dipped in it off the boat seat. Glad it didn't have a hook in it. She puked it up exactly like I last saw it 3 months later. She couldn't keep her lips off that stuff...Eyes would bug out just sniffing it. Hmmmm.

I checked this doggy toothpaste out. $11.00 a tube at local pet supply store.

I believe a fella could slicker the tops of maybe a hundred fifty DPs with one tube. Doesn't take much on the dog's toothbrush.

Eleven bucks divided by a hundred fifty lipsticked DPs comes to about a dime twenty cents apiece.

Only one way to find out if November 'coon find it irresistible.

I've caught raccoon, muskrat and even beaver on both spearmint and peppermint tooth paste. I wouldn't call it a 'great lure', but it works. I've used horse feed, calf feed, both dry cat and dog food , as well as floating fish food, my personal favorite.
