I have liability insurance on hunting lease through QDMA and very reasonable. Not sure if it would cover trapping but you could call and ask. Maybe they can help. I think mine costs around 14 cents a acre.

The bitterness of poor quality last a lot longer than the sweetness of low price

Christian/Baker Company offers members of the National Wildlife Control Operators Association (NWCOA) insurance at reasonable rates. I carried my liability insurance through them for many years before I turned the business over to my son. For more information see- http://christianbakerco.com/wildlife-control-nwcoa/3798614

It is my understanding that no workman comp is needed when you have no employees. Ask them though.

Doubt you’re going to get $2,000,000 for $1000 a year. $1,000,000, yes, but not 2.

Ask them, they’re very helpful.

I will ask tomorrow. I HOPE i can. 2 million is on the new contract paper work we have. New changes for 2020 maybe. I charge 250 a day for coyotes. I could / or may have to go to 275 a day to take care of cost of insurance?

A lot of places(larger clients) here require 5 mil liability now-2 mil not good enough.

Check with Bob and Sons (west bend). I have two million through him. My dealings with them have been great. Very affordable too - premiums are based on your business gross earnings.

A gate that isn’t closed can lead to cattle on the highway. Cattle could be at risk, drivers could be at risk...

We don’t think many things can go wrong, but when you really think about it, the potential to be ruined is there, ESPECIALLY for beaver trappers.

Their are no cattle where I trap, only pine trees. I found out the email = Memo did NOT apply to me. So i will NOT have to have 2 million dollars worth of coverage. Thanks for at the responses guys!! Sounds like insurance is a real pain!

Can you just get a general liability policy? I have a one million dollar policy for my construction business and it's $432 lump sum. Do you have employees? If not, you could probably get by with a certificate from your state that says you don't need workmans comp.
