was out today doing some scouting. this place is thick as thick can be with a wide creek running through the center.
found lots of cat sign right in the creek. tracks right in the sand.

only place I can find sign. how would you set this?
would you set right in the creek using sand as cover?
I know I would have to watch the weather.

they are cat tracks.
this creek is prolly 10 to 15 yards wide for at least a mile I know. a lot of sand. saw cat tracks going in different directions. believe it more than 1 cat.
just wondering about setting right in creek.

Set on the sand bar with a clog , like a wooden fence post or large limb.

Find the access trails and set there too.

will try set some footholds in creek with drags.
there are a ton of deer here. also might try some low snares on trails.
bad thing about in creek is that this creek can get up quick with a rain.

Set the bank with something flashy and appealing.

Blind sets and cubby sets

does the creek or trib always have running water? maybe at dry spell cats use as travelway? i would set cubbie or dirthole on bank
