We would count our Sitka black tails as a 3x3 with that configuration of antler points, eye guards don’t count here. Now go get that rifle sorted out, or replace it. I have a love in my black heart for the 25-06, it’s a wicked little round.

boncoon trapper Joined: Jan 2013 Posts: 772 Ashley county Ar.	Just browsing through here today, that's quite a deer I had a misfire Tuesday on a small deer at about 30 feet with a slug. I had fired the gun a few days before all was fine oh well going to to try the cleaning approach.

I have an old 110 that had the same problem. Posted on the website and it was explained exactly how to adjust the firing pin. I bet the axis bolt and pin is about the same as the 110. I would try that website. www.savageshooters.com.

Most people I know here would call this a 4 pointer or a 4 by 4. Every now and then I hear someone that would call it an 8 pointer and that makes me cringe lol. I really like the 25.06 too. All the animals me and my kids have shot with it haven’t gone far. Cold as ice!

hippie trapper H Joined: Feb 2010 Posts: 20,835 pa	Nice deer, I shot a smaller 8 when I hunted Manitoba that had the same coffee colored antlers. Ours here are more yellow tinted than coffee. What part of Manitoba are you? I hunted with a fella outta Poplarfield, and from there we were a couple hours north. My guide was from Arborg. I didn't see any deer up there until I started to rattle, then I saw deer regularly. Last edited by hippie; 11/20/20 02:37 PM. There comes a point liberalism has gone too far, we're past that point.
