As I understand it 42,000 jobs were directly lost with a stroke of the pen... That's not counting those indirectly effected... Guys like me who make money installing/maintaining power, controls, and instrumentation at pipeline/oilfield facilities.
I'm sure I can move over to alternative/green energy projects... That I'll be paying for through increased taxes.
Hail to the thief.

Stopping the pipeline and other such energy projects will have many ripple effects. My son works as a Project Manager for a steel fabrication outfit. Much of what they do, as well as many of their various contractors, is connected to the pipelines, etc. He is very worried about the future of that whole industry.
He is very good at what he does, and he will find something of the whole mess goes down, but he has a young family, mortgage, and bills, and all the other expenses of a young family, so this may turn into a stressful time for him, and us.

There are unseen motives. It's not for the environment.
Instead of moving oil by pipeline, we'll burn thousands of gallons of fuel to move the oil by truck and rail. Better for the environment?
In reality, it probably does not effect jobs. Less pipeline jobs but more rail and trucking jobs. Still a stupid idea.

High school class mate was told to go home 30 minutes after the signing! He's been making more money than he ever has in his life. All the unions were for Biden even though they knew it would put their members out of work, just another reason i have no use for unions.
Trickle down effect will kill many more jobs at all the business's that supplied materials for the line as well, then of course those people not support local business's and on and on and on it goes. But the country wanted to go back to the Obama years of wars, famine and chaos.
Comrade Bidens dark winter begins.
