Funny some people won't eat farm fresh eggs , they have to be bought at the store . It's all mental , like many things . $5.00 a dozen is fine , as long as it comes from the store . Won't touch a farm fresh egg , for free . People are that way, just like when it comes to voting . Too comfortable with out any worries , or something .

It’s because they think the companies have rules and laws to follow that ensure the eggs are sanitary, fresh and safe. They don’t think your average person with chickens has the technology or equipment to do that. They think they’ll get sick because the egg wasn’t spotless, or it wasn’t white because it’s bad, or they’ll die from that tiny little red speck in it. Of course they’ve been fed these lines by the corporations that own the big egg production operations. Just like people think a steak that isn’t blood red is rotten. People have no idea where food comes from, or what it looks like or tastes like before it’s doctored up to be pleasing to the eye.

i have trouble selling eggs at 2 bucks a dozen. Mine are a mix of brown, chocolate, white, tan, green and blue. Some people wouldn't eat em cause i have a rooster in there and they are fertile. Whatever, more for me to eat. That is downright silly. Who the heck cares if there is a rooster with them? People get some strange ideas.

Like 3.25 at the grocery store I frequent. 2.50 at the Kwik Trip.

Wal-Mart , Kissimmee , FL December 20 , 2019 - ( Biden was not president yet ) I thought these prices were cheap then , they look REAL cheap now.

They think the ones at the store don't come from a chickens butt, when it comes from the store....the store is where it comes from. Lib logic 101!

Probably the main difference in caged egg producers and the free range birds is the amount of omega 3's and vitamin A. Omega 3's are picked up from chlorophyll production in plants and are much lower in just feed concentrates. Those darker yokes from the free rangers are showing off their beta carotene content.

I dunno. I stopped looking at the price of food, I just put it in the cart and swipe the card. We gotta eat no matter what, no sense looking at the price and getting myself all worked up over it.
I bought chickens this spring though. Built an 8’x8’x8’ coop with a 15’x15’ run out of scrap lumber, only cost me my time so hopefully they’ll pay for themselves before the end of the year. [color:#FF0000][/color] If you dont have to feed them

Drill holes in bottom and bottom side of bucket, fill bucket with innards and roadkill..etc. , hang bucket over area the birds frequent....maggots fall out and feed birds.
