78 years ago today 73 thousand of our greatest generation stormed the beaches because they needed to do what needed done!

Two uncles went in by air. One in the 101st and one in the 82nd. Uncle KT in the 101st got a bullet in the back for his troubles. Uncle Commie in the 82nd had also jumped into Sicily. Both survived the war.

My neighbor from those days that led the Rangers up the cliffs at Ponte Du Hoc. He was wounded twice that day but continued to lead and fight.

Lt. Colonel and later General Earl Rudder.

Agreed nightlife. We owe them our remembrance and honor for sure!
We live the way we do because of what so many valiant men and women sacrificed for America.

Blessings,
