Crowfoot trapper Joined: Jan 2022 Posts: 2,073 Eastern W by God V	A name with crisp, hard consonants in it works well for a hunting or any dog as they are typically heard better over longer distances and are easyer to say clearly when shouted loudly. T is pronounced using the tongue (front part) K is pronounced using the tongue (back part) You can speak Katie, or holler KAY-TEE. Pick something "crispy" that sounds clear over long distances, experiment with a friend to illustrate. Here is a crispy one to try ... KOL-TON or KRIS-PY Dogs probably just recognize your voice more so than the actual name.
