My neighbors recently asked me to remove A woodchuck that is burrowing under their shed. I have some Woodchuck sized cage traps but I don't know what to use for bait. Any tips?

I use onion tops out of the garden this time of year.

Years ago when i trapped rabbits & groundhogs with live traps, sliced cantaloupe always worked

Fresh cantaloupe chunks have been my most successful groundhog bait. If your cage traps are double door you may have better luck setting them at the burrow entrance and camouflaging the trap and adding some blocking to make them go through the open trap to exit/enter the burrow vs trying to draw them into a trap with bait.
