Longbeard12 OP trapper Joined: Feb 2021 Posts: 1,203 Pennsylvania	On my way to work this morning, I am 99% sure I had a pure white mink cross the road in front of me. Has anyone else ever seen or caught a pure white mink?

Longbeard12 OP trapper Joined: Feb 2021 Posts: 1,203 Pennsylvania	Nope, it was about 15 yards before I crossed a bridge. When I first saw it I thought it was the white stripe on a skunks back. As I got closer about 10 yards from it I realized it was definitely a mink and a pure white one to boot. Maybe a albino??

I hope to get permission from at least one or two of them.

Not just albino but just white fur is not an uncommon thing, a friend caught a mostly white mink a few years ago, had dark eyes and almost a black helmet on the top and of the head, instead of mounting it he sold it to a local taxidermist, got a good price to. On a side note I was driving down a side road a few days ago and had to stop and check out a female mink hit on the side of the road, nothing unusual about that really except she was jet black except to a white throat patch, and if it hadn’t been there long enough to start to blot even though it was summer fur I would have been tempted this have mounted it ï¿½Everything in excess! I also caught a silver, black, and a pastel from the same area. They were all big. I'm just happy to be here! Today I'm as young as I'll ever be and and older than I've ever been before!
