I don't remember who the governor was but during one of the race riots years ago, it may have been the Rodney King crap, he had called out the National Guard and ordered them to use live ammunition and shoot rioters on sight. He gave them an amount of time to clear out, but it ended the rioting in Miami immediately.

Of course he was voted out in the next election or forced to resign. It might have been Bob Graham but I just can't remember but do recall it happening.
