Im at 4 deer, 1 buck and 3 doe. I have 1 more buck tag and 1 more either sex tag, trying to tag out before trapping season starts like 20NOV. Should be possible, if I was a better archer I would only be 1 away right now but thats ok. Meat wise each doe haa given about 40-50lbs of grinded meat, the buck was a really nice 3.5 year old, got maybe 75lbs of meat.

I need to kill some more hogs so I can put up some freaking sausage man, got 1 this year but im thankful.

I did for YEARS !! UNTIL I killed 2 booners 8 days apart one year. Plus I have crop tags so I don't shoot a buck just to be killing one. I have deer meat I give away so to shoot a young buck just to use my buck tag is pointless.

If you are talking just deer we only get one either sex tag unless you draw an extra antlerless tag so sure. If you want to throw in elk,bear lion and wolf then never have. I have shot the big three several times(deer,elk and bear) but have not shot the other two.

Some years at camp I shoot more than one, sometimes I don't shoot any. but we manage to fill all the tags.

I used to when we were limited to two bow, one gun and one muzzeloader tags. But they started allowing the # of doe allowed by county. Now I could kill More than 100 deer if I hunted every county in the state.

Excluding the above I don't shoot many any more instead the kids are pulling the triggers and dropping the strings. I don't think I have killed one in 3 years.

Not me. Not even sure how many antlerless you can get now. Years ago when we were tripping over them I tagged 11 deer. Most doe as I believe we were limited to 2 antlered and I avoid killing buttons. If the buck is not decent I pass. Have no problem taking doe in their place, Don't judge those who tag anything legal shoot what you need when hungry I am not. Least not these days.

No - not anymore. We get four tags. I didnt kill a deer last year, and havent so far this year. My son hunted with me this weekend and we saw about 35 but neither of us fired a shot. We used to kill all the law allows - and we ran out of deer after a few years. Now, there are a few of us adjacent landowners who grow the deer - and largely protect them - so the neighbors can kill them.

No usually not. I get a doe tag and regular archery tag. Usually try to fill my doe tag for meat and then just just after that. Maybe get lucky enough to shoot a mature buck.

We get 2 bucks and 10 doe's in Georgia. Some antler restrictions per county. The most I have ever killed in one year was 8. Now I let my kids shoot them. What part of LA you in Matt? I grew up in Livingston Parish.

Yep. Every year since 1978.

NC has a six deer limit. I don’t often take that many. I have taken at least one deer per year for over 50 years now without getting skunked.

I almost avoided it last year. Had a freezer pretty full of deer, salmon and halibut, but a few hungry people talked me into doing more work and had to go butcher yet another moose.

I’ll eat buck tags more often than not, simply because I’m picky. I find a buck I want to take and hunt for that buck only. I’m hunting for the same buck as last year, it’s him or nothing. If I get him this year and another comes in that I need to take, I’ll take it as well. A lot of management bucks are saved for kids, women, and first timers.
As far as does go, yeah, every year I’ll take my limit of 10 if for nothing else, management practices. I’ll take 10, my sons will take their 10, my DIL will take 10, etc.
