All I'll say is not every situation isn't the same and the majority of the time mature bucks act much differently than other deer. Our deer here take notice of vehicles driving by on county roads and are ready to run to cover if given a reason. Mature bucks head for cover when they hear a vehicle here.

Vehicles bother deer less than they do hunters. Killed the biggest deer of my life while sitting 31 yards off a busy US Highway. 18 wheeler would do by and almost raise me off the ground. Deer wouldnt even look up

Deer aren't affected much by routine traffic ... mailperson, residents driving or walking by, the town plow truck, etc. I have a small clearing ( 0.10 acre) just off the dead end, access road that divides my lake property in half hidden by a thin brush line. There is 7 homes past my place. I have a camera on the clearing. Not unusual to see deer at all times of the day in the clearing, bedded down doing what deer do, with vehicles passing by on the video. Doesn't bother them much, they may look up, watch the vehicle go by, and then return to what they were doing.

And no the deer aren't tame and not feed. They come from the county forest traveling through mine and the neighbor's place (path of least resistance I guess) to catch a drink from the lake.

My experience has been that they get use to a major type road, one that has regular traffic. I've shot some nice Deer within sight of roads.
On the other hand, old logging roads that were not used and suddenly are, the Deer shy from.

Over time the Deer will get use to him using his road but you're going to have a couple lean years imo.

To add...

If your property is a funnel that pushed Deer use, I doubt you'll see much difference. If your property is very isolated and more of a bedding area then my first post applies.

I own the 33 acres he drives through. He just bought the 17 acres last year. It was part of a 97 acre parcel but the seller broke it between him and 1 other owner. The price was very high, b/c of creek frontage.

This. 100k acres that has had cars drive through for 50 years. The deer if they are anywhere near the road will reverse direction every single time. Some guys actually do it to harass people who are hunting. I also would put a huge fence that straddles the easement so all he sees is wooden picketts.

So many people are building in Wi it makes it tough to own hunting property and plan for the future. My other hunting property had 2 houses go up next to it just in the last year. And where I hunt is considered rural Wi.

I'm not interested in a fence at this time.
As for moving an easement..I hadn't considered that. Hopefully I don't have to, but it's an interesting idea that might be legal.

I killed the biggest buck anyone in my family has ever killed - I was sitting 31 yards from a busy US Highway and the deer was 34 yards from me. They absolutely, without a doubt, get used to vehicles

I used to see deer all the time while working fields with a tractor , they would let you get close also.
If you stopped , they watched you , it you shut down the tractor or got off it , they were gone.
While running a trap line with an ATV same thing ,they watched you and wouldn't run unless you stopped and got off.

This is what I noticed. Dang! Boco! You don’t mess around!!

My son shot one this year sitting 6' off the ground in the first line of trees off of the hwy. Public ground hunting. Lots of people think you need to go deep. Some times you do othe time you can kill them in the parking lot and those are often over looked. It was a much nicer drag than the his 2nd of the year that was over 1/4 mile drag

I don't think vehicles bother deer.
Deer walk right up against my two pick-up trucks to get from the front to the back yard.
A couple nights ago coming in here to the house I had to stop in the road and honk the horn to get a little fork horn to move. When he moved he was not scared, looked more annoyed that I was making noise.

At our gun club the deer stand in front of the skeet fields while we are shooting. They even appear to get hit with the #9 shot as it falls out of the sky and they simply flinch like a horse that is covered with flies. It is amazing what deer can get used to.
